The seventh day of Sukkot — the final sealing of the divine judgment for the new year.
📅 October 12🌙 Lunar calendar
✦ Why It Matters
Hoshanah Rabbah is the seventh and final day of Sukkot. Jewish tradition holds that while Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur seal one's fate, Hoshanah Rabbah is the last opportunity for the divine decree to be altered through repentance.
✦ How It Is Observed
Seven hakafot around the synagogue with lulav and etrog, willow branches beaten on the ground five times symbolizing the casting off of sins, special Hallel prayers, many stay up the previous night to study Torah.

“LORD, save us! LORD, grant us success! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD.”
— Psalms 118:25 ↗
