Numbers 12Miriam and Aaron Speak Against Moses
Summary
Numbers 12 tells how Miriam and Aaron criticize Moses over his Cushite wife and question whether God speaks only through him. The text notes that Moses was the meekest man on earth. God summons the three, declares that he speaks with Moses mouth to mouth rather than in visions, and leaves Miriam white with skin disease. Aaron pleads, Moses prays for her healing, and Miriam is shut out of the camp seven days while the people wait.
